Children and Young People

At St. John's we think that children and  young people are a very important part
of Church life and make them welcome.

Babies and Toddlers

Babies and Toddlers are very welcome at Church.  There is a Creche at the 10am service, or, if you wish to take them with you, pew bags are available with soft toys.

The Baby and Toddler Group meets on Monday   and Thursday mornings upstairs in the Parish Centre and, once a month comes up to Church for a Toddler Service.

St. John's Pre-School meets every morning downstairs in the Parish Centre.

School Age Children

School Age Children have their own Junior Church at 10am, beginning with Sparklers for 4 year olds.

They often help out in the Family Services with music and drama, and there is a Christian Club(56cc) in St. John's School.

For older children the Yoyos ("You're Only Young Once") meet during the 10am service on Sunday mornings.

Teenagers

Teenagers meet in the "Rock Solid" Youth Group on Monday nights (11-14s) and join in City-wide events like Interface and Youth Alpha (14+).

The programme for the Rock Solid Group is available from Church, the Vicar or one of the Youth Leaders.
