youth & children...

We think children and young people are a very important part of Church life and do our best to make them welcome.

There are a number of different ways we seek to do this. Here are some of them.

PARENT AND TODDLERS are very welcome at Church. There is a Creche at the 10am service, or, if you wish to take them into the service with you, pew bags are available with soft toys to keep them entertained.

The Parent and Toddler Group meets on Monday & Thursday mornings 9.15 – 11.30am upstairs in the Parish Centre on Wentworth Street.

Toddler Services are held twice a month in Church, one at 9.30am on a Thursday and one at 2pm on a Tuesday.

St.John’s Pre-School meets every morning downstairs in the Parish Centre FOR MORE INFORMATION CLICK HERE.

SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN have their own Junior Church on Sundays at 10am, beginning with the Wholly Fun Club for 4+ year olds. They often help out in the Family Services and there is a Christian Club (56cc) in St.John’s School for years 5 and 6. For older children (11+) the Yoyos (“You’re Only Young Once”) meet during the 10am service on Sunday mornings in their special tented area in the old west porch.

TEENAGERS meet in the “Rock Solid” Youth Group on Monday nights (11-14+). The programme for the Rock Solid Club is pinned up in Church, or copies available from the Vicar or one of the Youth Leaders.

    ST. JOHN’S SCHOOL
